{"id":292,"date":"2019-03-02T18:33:27","date_gmt":"2019-03-02T18:33:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tatvcanada.com\/?page_id=292"},"modified":"2019-03-02T18:33:27","modified_gmt":"2019-03-02T18:33:27","slug":"shotshell-primer-pocket-repair-tool","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tatvcanada.com\/?page_id=292","title":{"rendered":"Shotshell Primer Pocket Repair Tool"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-wrap\">\n<div class=\"post-info\">\n<div class=\"post-detail\">\n<p><strong>Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This tool will be designed to mount in a single stage Lee Precision reloading press.\u00a0 It will allow the user to apply targeted pressure to the primer pocket (209 style) on a conventional shotshell hull in order to reduce\/correct the diameter on worn or European import hulls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Construction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tool will be comprised of a die (designed to fit standard 7\/8-14 threaded presses) and shell holder (compatible with Lee Precision single stage press rams).\u00a0 The die and tool head will be made from hardened tool steel to withstand the pressures used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Installation will consist of slotting the shell holder into the ram of any single stage press compatible with Lee Precision shell holders.\u00a0 The die will be installed by threading into any single stage press compatible with 7\/8-14 dies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The operator will begin by sliding de-primed shotshell hull into the shell holder.<\/p>\n<p>As the ram is raised, the hull&#8217;s primer pocket will come into contact with the sizing tool which will swage it to the correct diameter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This tool will be designed to work with plastic and paper shotshell hulls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Resized repaired primer pockets will accept a standard 209 primer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Objective This tool will be designed to mount in a single stage Lee Precision reloading press.\u00a0 It will allow the user to apply targeted pressure to the primer pocket (209 style) on a conventional shotshell hull in order to reduce\/correct the diameter on worn or European import hulls.
